The outside of my door. Our school's theme this year is "Celebrate Learning!" This is the view as you walk in the door. Turning right as you walk in, you can see my classroom library next to the SMARTboard. Our classroom norms are framed on top of the library. Math manipulatives shelves along with a few more library books. I put up this bulletin board with coloring pages some of my students completed during summer school. My teacher work station. I have a desk with a computer along with a kidney table to work with students. Love the idea of having an open/closed sign to tell students when they can come to my table; I stole this idea from a middle school class I subbed for last year. Student resource center and my extra seating. This will be my area where I can isolate students who are having behavior problems or who are working on extra enrichment activities. Looking back towards the door. My whiteboard. The top assignments section will be used for students to record homework and reminders in their planner. The bottom fast finishers section will tell students what they can work on if they finish an assignment early. Open House is coming up on Tuesday! Pictures and information from that is soon to come!
