I was teaching in the room next door to my student teaching class. At the end of the day those two classes line up together to go to the bus room. I was waiting at the end of the hall for all of the students to line up when one of the students from my former class asked me if I was married. I held up both of my hands, with fingers extended showing that I had no wedding ring. At that, his eyes grew huge and he almost yelled across the hall, "you have 10 wives!?"
Since graduation in December, I have been working as a substitute teacher in buildings across our district. I've gotten to see many classrooms and gotten several new ideas for my own room. I've also had many laughs, one of which I want to share and remember.
